Shot Sequence

1. The first shot will be a close up of a photo album being opened up.
2.The second shot will be of zoom in of the 1st picture in the photo album.
3. Then the third shot will be the picture then it will start moving and it will be a shot of a clown in a street trying to impress onlookers.
4. Then the fourth shot will be of the band singing and playing their instruments with shots of the lead singer and the drums.
5. The fifth shot will be a close up of the clown being shouted and abused and then the clown realising that their laughing at him instead of with him.
6. The sixth shot will be of another close up of the band but using the mirror and seeing the bands reflection in it.
7. The seventh shot will be a zooming out of the first picture in the photo album then zooming into the next photo in the album.
8. The eighth shot will be a medium shot of the clown putting a sad face on to represent sadness.
9. The ninth shot will just be a close up of the band performing.
10. The tenth shot will be a long shot of the clown leaving the house to show that he is in normal life.
11. The eleventh shot will be a panning shot of the camera following the clown down the street and this will be at a parallel view to show how different he is form society and he he stands out from the crowd.
12. The twelfth shot will be a long shot of the clown walking past a crowd and some people start following him and taking the mick out of him.
13.The thirteenth shot will be a long shot and a over the shoulder shot and this will show the clowns point of view and it will be the clown walking down the street and you'll see what it is like for him with all the faces and sneers he gets.
14. The fourteenth shot will be a panning shot of the clown starting to break into a run because he has had enough.
15. The fifteenth shot will be a close up of the clown leaning up against the wall after he has run away.
16. The sixteenth shot will be another close up of the band.
17. The seventeenth shot will be another zoom in zoom out of going out of one photo into another.
18. The eigthteenth shot will be a long shot of the clown walking back into the house.
19. The nineteenth shot will be a close up of the clown reapplying the make up and turning the sad face into a happy face.
20. The twentieth shot is a close up of the clown lighting a match and burning the photos to get rid off his bad memories.
21.This shot will be a long shot of the clown with a happy face leaving the house.
22. This shot will be the clown again retracing his steps this time in a different manner and it will be another panning shot of him walking down the street.
23. This shot will be a medium shot of the clown pushing past the crowd who once laughed at him to show that he has changed and doesn't care what they think.
24. This shot will be a close up of the crowds reaction realising that he has moved on and doesn't care what they think with disgruntled expressions.
25. The last shot will be a long shot of the clown walking in the sunset away from the crowd.

Final Idea

We have now decided on our final idea, we have got to this stage by each of us making our own idea and then putting the best shots into one final idea as our main focus point for our video.

Summary of the Fields video

This is the video that the fields have done and we personally don't think that it fits in with the music and it is a boring video. So we have incorporated our own idea and we think that our video is more appropiate and it links in with the lyrics. In this video it is slow and they don't really do much in the video so it doesn't really catch the eye and has got no background to it, there just near the sea running and got some random objects which don't fit in.

The video will centre on a lonely, sad person, represented as a clown. the bright colours of the costume will help to show how he stands out from everyone else.
Black and white background will represent his sad, dull life. there will be a great contrast between him and the background.
as he is walking along snap shots and photos will be taken of him. these will then be put in a photo album.
towards the end of the video he will wipe off his make up and burn the photos one by one. this is to show that he is moving on.
throughout the video we will shot shot s of the band performing in a studio. this will also be shown in black and white so that it ties in with the theme of the video. camera shots taken of the band will include:

Overhead shots
Mirrors-helps to create multiple images
Close-ups
Low angles

We think it will be a good idea to use the black and white background effect as we found that in other videos produced for this band had this effect incorporated into them.

brainstorm

Ideas: One idea is of a clown who walks around being put down by everyone because he is a clown, this will be done in pictures and then when a Polaroid is shown it carries on and shows the clown being treated like dirt. This mixes in with the lyrics 'Theres no need to bring me down
Theres no need to follow me around this town' This is a lyric from the song and symbolizes sadness.Also we have been doing some research on the band and have found out that some of their videos are in black and white and we might adopt this into our music video as well. The location will be around cambridge we don't have an exact location.

Our second idea incorporates a man in his room with a photo album looking sad then looking at the individual pictures which are in motion then the camera zooms into these pictures and takes them out as their moving and burns them because he is sad. As he burns burns them he becomes less sad and takes off more make-up.
